SOTL5mini
It learns the car. You master the fleet.
Making Predictive Maintenance Possible
Every elevator moves with its own unique signature. The SOTL5mini was built on a simple premise: effective predictive maintenance shouldn’t rely on generic thresholds, but on a System of Things Learning continuously. This compact, door-mounted device doesn’t just record data; it actively learns the specific baseline of the car it rides on. By capturing door cycles, vibration, and releveling directly from the moving equipment, the SOTL5mini understands what normal operation looks like for that exact unit.
SOTL5mini Knows Your Elevator Car
Because the SOTL5min learns the individual car’s baseline, the platform can identify deviations with precision. A slow door isn’t just flagged as slow—it’s analyzed against this door’s historical performance. The edge runtime processes these motion and vibration signatures locally, ensuring that even if power or network drops, the intelligence is retained and forwarded once reconnected. You get actual evidence of mechanical wear, rather than a flood of false alarms triggered by one-size-fits-all algorithms.
This localized learning scales effortlessly into fleet-wide foresight. The localized intelligence gathered by the SOTL5mini feeds directly into clear, actionable reports. Building owners see exactly what needs attention this week, service providers can track 6-month degradation trends to plan ahead, and asset managers get a 12-month judgment to guide long-term modernizations. It brings deep, customized intelligence from the elevator door straight to the decision-maker’s desk.
Combined with adaptive, self-learning algorithms our SOTL5 elevator car-top box analyzes and records sensor data and transmits it via cellular or network to the Cloud. Users have access to a cloud-based web user interface to view their data.
The system is fast and easy to install, learns patterns and alerts users to any anomalies it detects.
Datahoist’s patent-pending, advanced analytics tools use AI learning skills to recognize patterns that might represent problems. Our intelligent algorithms analyze hundreds of data points from the vibrations and acceleration of elevator operations.

Mounts to Most Elevator Car Doors
SOTL5mini can be installed on any make or model of elevator car as long as the car has access to power and wireless data transfer capabilities through a local network with access to the appropriate cloud infrastructure.
Cloud-based data collection and analysis begins once the SOTL5mini box is mounted to your elelvator car and powered. Data is transferred via cell phone or local network, as available.
Following installation and secure cloud software setup, SOTL5mini starts collecting opreational data.

SOTL Predictive Data Analytics
Just like our SOTL5 standard sensor package, the SOTL5mini learns to understand the specifics of each elevator car. It tracks doors open and close, operational runs (up and down), and other sensor data. Using this data we provide critical key performance indicators to help ensure maximum up-time.
Elevator Operations Metrics
The Datahoist systems track the following elevator operational data for analytics:
- Consistent door times
- Consistent flight times
- Minimal releveling
- Signal Analysis/Fault recognition
- Motion Analysis
- Out of service state
- Not active when it should be
